Hope it's final. This case is what started me on my research of the WT.

The FIRST Memorial Ive missed in 41 years
by Londo111 inlast year, my last jw memorial, i listened to the talk as an outsider would.
the speaker strung unrelated texts together and for the first time, i saw that the interpretations made no sense.
afterward, i had a private memorial with homemade unleavened bread and wine with four people--three of whom partook.

I've been to 36. This is the first one I really stopped and listened to every word.

warped logic from the memorial talk
by why144000 inspeaker said we should not partake because when jesus arrives he will take the remnat to heaven and the memorial will be no more.
just as we will not partake then (because the memorial will not exist) it is only logical that we will not partake now.
warped logic at its finest!.

Just got back from mine and the speaker said the same thing. Also, likened us to a computer with a virus and Jesus was the antidote. At the end, he mentioned being part of a family, under Jehovah, and that a family has rules. Some choose to be homeless, by rejecting the rules in the family. (Threat to the teens that want to leave with validation to parents to kick them out)? He said, look around, this is our family. These are our brothers and sisters. We had at least eight halls meet in one location, with over 1300 attending.

Gym and then rushing to my final Memorial a.k.a the only celebration this publishing company has been endorsing since I was a born-in. Once I get home, I'll have a glass of pinot noir and start planning my 1st birthday celebration

Anyone else celebrating the Memorial with just their families at home tonight?
by ohiocowboy intonight, i have decided to bake unleavened bread so that my partner and i can have our own memorial at home.
i already have the wine, and i will be serving it in an authentic ancient greel drinking vessel called a kantharos that was used in ancient times.
i've collected ancient greek and roman coins and antiquities for quite a few years, and i thought it would be neat to try be be as authentic as possible by serving the emblems in ancient wares.

Was a victim prior to jury duty. Survivor and happily divorced by the time jury duty came up for me. Still knew the charges brought up were too close to my former marriage and i couldnt be objective. Someone I work with is always questioning why, in Florida, with the amount of retirees and unemployed people we have, why they can't just call on them. Those of us in finance really don't like missing work.

I have tried to keep up with this thread, so I hope I'm not posting duplicate information. I googled jw org angels provide protection preaching. What it led me to was a quick read from a 2006 article and after a comment I received from my text to a dozen friends, I feel confident in responding. She pointed out Jehovah doesn't promise us protection, but at least these sisters and the brother in New Zealand that died delivering tracts, were being faithful to Jehovah. I was thinking I'd tell her I personally agree with her, but while researching came across the above article and WT gives a different impression. Are we allowed to post a link directly from jw org to a comment?

Yes, twice. Once we were dismissed. The second time, I was in the courtroom, still an active JW, and a long questionnaire was given to us. The case ironically hit way too close to home and I asked to speak to the judge. The case involved domestic violence, including battery while pregnant. I gave him a very brief synopsis of my story and I was released. Of course, at the time, I thought it was an answered prayer

Great review, thank you Blondie! I skipped toay, for a pleasurable volunteer event I decided to be a part of this weekend. No regrets about not spending my time delivering Memorial tracts.
